Alvin’s Island Sarasota: Beach Shop for Swimsuits, Towels & Gifts
There’s something about Alvin’s Island that just feels like vacation. Whether you’re headed to the beach or strolling through town, this is where you go when you realize you forgot a towel, want a matching family t-shirt, or your kid needs a bucket and shovel right now.
And the best part? Sarasota has not one, but three Alvin’s Island locations—so no matter where you’re staying, you’re close to one.
Alvin Island Sarasota Locations:
Alvins Island: Siesta Key
5124 Ocean Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34242
Hours: 8 AM – 11 PM daily
This one’s a must-stop if you’re hanging out at Siesta Beach. It’s right in the middle of all the fun in Siesta Key Village, just a short walk from the sand.
You’ll find swimsuits, cover-ups, floaties, postcards, sunglasses, and those classic beachy souvenirs everyone secretly loves.
Bonus: It’s right next to Big Olaf Creamery, one of the most popular ice cream spots in the area. Grab a cone (their vanilla is underrated), then browse the store while you cool off.
Local Tip: If you’re staying nearby, swing in before the beach to grab a cold drink or after sunset for a little shopping and dessert. This one has a cozy, beach-town vibe.

Alvins Island: Siesta Key
6513 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231
Hours: 8 AM – 11 PM daily
This location is great if you’re on the mainland and want to stock up before heading to the beach. There’s a bigger selection here—chairs, umbrellas, towels, water shoes, and more. Super convenient if you’re headed to Turtle Beach, Crescent Beach, or even Venice.
Parking is easy, and it’s never too crowded. Plus, you’ll find some great clearance racks tucked in the back—perfect if you want a Sarasota tee for under $10.

Alvins Island: St. Armands Circle
462 John Ringling Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34236
Hours: 8 AM – 12 AM daily
This one is a vibe. Located in the middle of the beautiful St. Armands Circle, it’s surrounded by restaurants, shops, and palm trees wrapped in lights at night.
Whether you’re on your way to Lido Beach or finishing up dinner at Columbia Restaurant or Shore, Alvin’s Island is the perfect last stop. The store is super clean, well-stocked, and full of fun finds—from beachy bags to mini snow globes and shark-tooth necklaces.
There’s also an Ice Cream & Gelato shop a few doors down—ScoopDaddy’s Ice Cream, which is adorable and has tons of flavors.
